Here’s to a May that is sunny, warm, and full of happy shoppers! There is an interesting diversity of fabrics and styles coming this month. The key brands eagerly awaiting to sashay through the door are:
CMC/Color Me Cotton: CMC always ships toward the end of the month. Hopefully the timing will be coincidental to warm, sunny days as the fabric coming is linen, the color navy. The print shirt is a 3/4 sleeve shirt with an inverted v shape in the front. Since this style also works as a jacket there is a solid navy, cotton tank to layer under it. Pair it with a solid navy crop with a flat front, pockets, and a drawstring cuff. If you prefer a monochromatic look, try the long asymmetrical button tunic with a scoop neck and 3/4 sleeves.
Cactus Fashion: This line, unfortunately, does not ship all the styles all the time. Here is what is ordered and we will see what arrives (fingers crossed). Start with the stripe cardi’s that are wonderful! Two colors were ordered with options for two other colors in case they were out of stock. So, colors could be black and white, charcoal and white, red and white, or grey and white. There are two colors in tanks, charcoal and off-white, coming in to match with some detailing around the neck. Also expect two print, over-the-top-, tunics in a light, drapey fabric. Trust….these are gorgeous!
Chalet: It’s been a few years since this line has been in the store and the shipment on its way soon is interesting and elegant. There is a shorter, boxy top that angles down on one side with an incredible image/pattern on the front. That top goes back to a loose and flowing palazzo pant. There is also a subtle tie dye cardi and tank to pair back with the palazzo for another outfit. If I remember right the color is oatmeal and the fabric is a blend that drapes the body beautifully.
Ezze Wear: Picture a grape color that looks like it has been washed in bleach. Sounds terrible but the white peeking through adds a unique look to the already textured fabric. The two styles in that color are a 3/4 sleeve snap front shirt with a collar and a capri styled like a jean. There is also a basic short sleeve snap front shirt in a gorgeous strawberry.
Focus Fashion: Back to basics with a little flair. Take the black elbow sleeve, light weight, textured jacket and layer it with the white tank and team it with a lovely taupe linen skirt that has a drawstring front. The cotton shirt in this group is an extra. It is a white pullover with an embroidered front and 3/4 sleeves that will go with any narrow leg crop.
Nallie & Millie: A new line for the store that is a top story with some distinction. Two of them are exceptional one-of-a-kind fabrications. The order is going to be a surprise as I can’t remember specifically what I ordered only that I can’t wait to receive them.
Produce Apparel: Think pink and black and see it in gauze. The pink, asymmetrical button front top goes back to the black double layer front capri with a white gauze tank layered under. Or choose the short sleeve v-neck with a double layer around the hem in pink and just for the heck of it throw over that (or anything) the sleeveless hoodie vest. Can’t wait!
In the meantime, join me in dreaming of warm, sunny days and pots full of flowers!
