It is ever a wonder to me how a fabric as basic, casual, and easy to care for as cotton can transform into chic elegance. One quick glance at this outfit from Color Me Cotton should have you nodding your heads in agreement. The trick is to start with one eye-catching piece such as this fabulous tiered skirt and build from there. The pale yellow crinkled blouse is an easy addition for those of you who prefer neutral tones. It provides a soft contrast to the brown and allows the skirt to remain the focal point. The print tank pulls the two colors together and adds interest and relief to the solid colors. Use each item separately to create other outfits. There are so many colors to pair with the skirt. Think soft pink, turquoise, red, black, white, and beige. Throw on a denim shirt, jacket, or vest with it. Wear the shirt with khaki, olive, chocolate, white, beige, and black bottoms. When you are through playing, wash and dry and start all over.
We all have those ugh! days. You roll out of bed bleary eyed, behind schedule, and clueless as to what to wear. Are you relating? There is only one antidote to such a sorry beginning. It is that oh-my-gosh-where-did-you-get-that-outfit solution. Lose the eye drops and slip into this sassy tunic from CMC. It is one hundred percent cotton comfortable in a feather print that will lighten your day. Pair it with this pumpernickle narrow leg crop. It’s one of those Color Me Cotton magic pants everyone adores. There is no elastic, has a flat front, yet you just pull them on and go. The tunic is a perfect foil for layering necklaces. Start with this longer one that has a feather attached and add the shorter braided adornment over it. See? The day is already feeling better.
I had a customer from Medford, today, looking for an outfit to wear to a wedding rececption. She wanted something that she could also wear later and preferred a bright summer look. Sometimes it all just falls together. This tencel dress and cupro rayon jacket from CMC/Click had just arrived and met all of her requirements. The dress is sleeveless and dresses down with a cardi or tied shirt. The print jacket is a bright and beautiful spot of color and goes back with jeans and navy, white, or black capri’s. The sassy scarf can be used to fill in the neck area and add some glam. I happened to mention that all of the pieces could be washed and dried and before I knew it she was out the door with all pieces in hand.
