They’re baack! You remember these, don’t you? Oh fashion Muse, thou name art fickle. We circle back, once again, to the one piecer’s and they arrive in a flurry of varying lengths, silhouette’s, fabrics, and color. Wear a tailored one to work, a sporty version for play. Try the silk and sequins for a night out, or that loose and flowing number to lounge in around home. Choose your length. If you’re feeling frisky and under 30, try the “hot pants” version or, at the very least, a short or knee length romper for those hot, sultry days. Those of a more modest mien willl most likely gravitate to the mid-calf or ankle length styles.
Buy them in patterns, stripes, or solids. Since we don’t know just how many seasons these jumpers will stick this time, I’m thinking a solid color is going to be the one. Depending on the style, layer with a tank or tee and pop a color. Belts are a natural as are arm bangles and long necklaces. If you are a petite, wear the belt a little lower on the waist to elongate your form and go with a longer pant length. Apple shapes (heavier on the top) can gravitate to leg features such as the harem pant (gathered leg) or a cuff. You can even do two colors, for example, wear a shorter jacket over the jumpsuit in a darker color. Pear shapes (heavier on the bottom half) look great in a halter style or one with a v-neck, both will draw attention upward for a more flattering look. A slimmer leg pant is best as the looser the leg the bigger the derrier appears. Avoid shorter lengths and pin stripes. Above all, have fun with these old/new styles. They are so comfortable.
Here are a few more styles.
